HPMC (SPVC)

CAS: 9004-65-3

Cellulose ethers as suspending agents for suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride

Description

Cellulose ethers are used in PVC polymerization as primary and secondary suspension agents. Low-viscosity grades of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) polymers are used for PVC suspension processing. Vinyl chloride monomer polymerization using HPMC allows the production of many PVC polymer grades of various grain sizes, porosities and morphologies.
